About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Merchandise System Analyst II to join our Information Technology Merchandise Systems and Applications team.  This individual will be responsible for supporting existing systems and processes related to our suite of Merchandise Systems and Applications, as well as delivering new products and projects centered around the business needs of our internal customers.  The Position will work with the other Engineers and Analysts on the Merchandise Systems team on new project work, existing product backlogs, research for new work efforts and ways to streamline and ensure efficiencies with existing programs, interfaces, services, and data elements throughout the Merchandise Systems series of platforms, architectures, and databases.  

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Support existing Merchandise systems to ensure they are functioning as required. This includes the following systems:
    • Replenishment and Forecasting
    • Merchandise Planning
    • Merchandise Allocation
    • PLM for Direct Sourcing and Product design
    • Merchandise Systems utilized in the CORE merchandise systems including Item Setup, PO mgt., Inventory Mgt., Item mgt., EDI, UPC, and Pricing Mgt.
  • Gather and compile Requirements for projects, work tasks and problem solutions
  • Work with Developers and the Merchandise Systems Architect to ensure system designs will meet the requirements outlined for customer use
  • Provide expertise when required as part of research or review related to new initiatives, internal efficiency projects, or problem resolution
  • Build relationships with the customer community and the technology team in order to create efficient, scalable, and manageable products for delivery
  • Provide accurate estimates for work related to all project and task work
  • Work with the manager and project manager, ensure that projects are scoped, designed, and delivered to meet the project timeline, whether in agile bases releases or waterfall project phases

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Retail Systems is a plus for this position and includes the following areas specifically
    • Replenishment and Forecasting…time phased approach
    • Merchandise Financial Planning
    • Merchandise Allocation
    • UPC Management
  • Experience with any coding languages is a plus…those most desired include: SQL, Java, Python, Pick-Basic
  • Experience with Linux is a plus
  • Ability to do technical configuration, scripting, and systems administration is a plus.
  • Familiar with Confluence, JIRA, Service Now, MS Teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with both Agile and Waterfall Project Lifecycle Methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to properly document and maintain documentation for Requirements, Designs and Testing plans
  • Effectively demonstrate good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Proven ability to work with and understand EDI protocols and documents is a plus.
  • Familiar with various types of Interface tools…Tibco, Soap and Rest Services, MQ
  • Ability to learn new skills and the application of those new skills and languages to existing products and processes.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to work remotely as needed.
  • Ability to work in a shared workspace environment when needed in an office setting.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and understand shifting priorities while still providing overall expected deliverables.
  • Able to communicate effectively using company standard conferencing, for example ZOOM or Teams video conferencing.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from either the corporate office or a remote office location.
