About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Manager, Disaster Recovery  to join our Network and Communication Systems team. The manager is responsible for the ownership, management, oversight and continuous improvement and maturity of the Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Program, including working with IT teams and key Business Continuity stakeholders to ensure critical recovery strategies are designed, tested, and implemented.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Work cross functionally with senior leadership and teams across entities to define and implement business impact assessments, coordinate and lead business continuity and disaster recovery tabletops and exercises, identify, and prioritize remediation, and track completion
  • Partner with entity and functional leads to implement and maintain disaster recovery plans and metrics to ensure the security and integrity of company technology and data, and identify program improvements
  • Own remediation items identified in exercises and assessments, collaborating with partner teams to design new processes and policies that close gaps
  • Lead a team that maintains compliance with all standards, regulations, and requirements
  • Have and continue to build on current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and jurisdictional nuances that can impact program implementation
  • Establish training with business and IT functional teams to test operational resilience of programs
  • Create reports as needed for different levels of leadership, covering all aspects of BCP and DR
  • Outlines and manages a distribution strategy to safeguard that continuity and recovery action plans are correctly secured, distributed, and made available under all disaster scenarios
  • Deliver 24 hour a day/7 day a week on-call support for any emergency which may necessitate activation of all or part of organizational continuity and recovery action strategies
  • Evaluate the corporate continuity consequences of proposed technological or organizational changes, and synchronizes any revisions to the existing continuity action plans
  • Serve as the organization liaison for enterprise-wide corporate continuity efforts
  • Document the results of all tests and drills, and identifies any suggested augmentations to the continuity and recovery action strategies
  • Ensure BCP\DR framework remains modern and applicable to organization’s changing company operations and risk profiles
  • Provide continuous improvement leadership and support to drive KPI’s for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
  • Facilitate regular improvement planning sessions to identify key strategic opportunities to achieve strategic Tailored Brands goals and develop related action plans with measurable outcomes
  • Analyze observations and data to fully understand and categorize issues and areas for improvement
  • Develop, implement, and support the effective application of best practices as Standard Work, Standard Operating Conditions, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Facilitate problem-solving by leveraging/modeling continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate root causes and permanently reduce variance
  • Analyze lines for constraints and bottlenecks to achieve continuous flow

Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience managing a team
  • 5+ years of Project Management skills with emphasis in the build and design of a complex global IT Disaster Recovery Program. 
  • Strong technical aptitude.  Capable of learning emerging technology and creating plans to support the business
  • Experience with GCP-built environments, SaaS provider architecture, and cloud-based disaster recovery methodology
  • Outstanding communicator and writer; experience with drafting project plans across multiple stakeholders, holding teams accountable to their deliverables, and producing final reports
  • Ability to risk rank multiple high priority items and advocate successfully for technical and business teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while still meeting deliverables
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the areas of Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean principles, statistics, and data analysis

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from the Houston Corporate Office or a remote office location
