About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Loss Prevention Coordinator to join our Security team.  This individual supports all security related efforts for the Oak Pak Campus. The Security Coordinator achieves this by ensuring the safety and security of all Tailored Brands employees, buildings and grounds. By controlling access to all Tailored Brands buildings and properties within assigned areas. By patrolling inside and outside of Tailored Brands buildings and properties within assigned area. By Identifying and preventing losses through theft, pilferage and vandalism utilizing the Closed Circuit Television System and patrols. The Security Coordinator partners with the Corporate Loss Prevention Manager, and the Vice President of Risk Management to develop, communicate, implement and measure loss prevention investigations, recovery efforts and security systems at the corporate level.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Control access to property, screening all incoming and outgoing traffic, ensuring that only appropriate personnel are able to gain access to and from Tailored Brands facilities.
  • Respond to any emergency situation as called and assist in the evacuation of facilities by contacting and directing local police and fire departments.
  • Conduct security patrols in specified areas, identify deficiencies, vulnerabilities or safety violations, and develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and respond to all security alarms, fire alarms and card access readers on Tailored Brands facilities.
  • Respond to all suspicious/unauthorized individuals and conduct routine vehicle patrols of Tailored Brands facilities.
  • Responsible for conducting personal belongings check of all associates, vendors, and visitors when exiting the facility, when instructed.
  • Documents and prepares written reports for all incidents and completes daily reports and visitor logs for each shift.
  • Provide escort to associates upon request.
  • When instructed, participate in internal theft investigations in accordance with the organization’s Loss Prevention investigation process mapping and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Report findings of investigations in writing to the Corporate Loss Prevention Manager for appropriate disposition.
  • Supports the VP of Risk Management, Loss Prevention Manager and completes other duties as assigned. 

Skills & Experience

  • High School degree preferred
  • 2+ years of physical security / loss prevention experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to identify, distinguish and analyze components of problems, making logical and effective conclusions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work in shifts
  • Ability to manage conflict to successful resolutions
  • Houston, Texas area resident
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week
