Job Description: Store Communications Design Specialist
The Store Communications Design Specialist is responsible for designing brand and creative standards for the CSO organization. This person will educate the organization on the brand and creative standards and apply these standards to CSO collateral including store training programs, conference documents, various store playbooks, and more. Required are strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on creativity and attention to detail. The key to success is the ability to work collaboratively with the store organization leaders and corporate business partners in a fast-paced environment remaining flexible, resourceful, and efficient while completing assignments within the given timeline. This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Store Communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop design concepts to support the CSO and store organization which includes meeting/conference collateral, training programs, brand standards, and leadership presentations.

Collaborate with business partners to understand needs and work on the design of programs for both the customer and employee experiences using creative visual messaging (e.g., symbols, logos, themes).

Present decisions and processes clearly and confidently, regardless of audience.

Create branding for the store organization and be the brand ambassador, educating business partners on the CSO brand standards and providing support resources as needed.

Partner with the Strategic Project Management team on the design support needed for priority projects.

Evolve brand and creative standards on various in-house platforms (e.g., Learning Center system and company intranet site) including maintaining relevance of posted content.

Understand the nuances of multiple brands and businesses to properly support design needs.

Partner with Marketing Department to connect the external brand messaging with our internal messaging.

Create in-store collateral (e.g., in-store signage both customer and employee facing) as needed.

Support Recognition & Events Lead by creating visuals for promoting contests, recognition programs and meeting/conference collateral.

Complete design work across projects, initiatives, and events including supporting business partners with formatting and copywriting.

Develop an intake process for business partners to submit graphic design service requests with clear expectations on what is needed in advance.

Manage specific assignments, projects or initiatives which may be planned or ad-hoc.
Proven Skills, Abilities and Experience Qualifications:

Creative or Graphic Design experience of 3-5 years.

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related fine arts field or equivalent experience required.

Strong understanding of design principles including composition, color, and hierarchy of messaging.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback.

Ability to collaborate with business partners and meet service level expectations to satisfy graphic design needs.

Solid creative and time management skills to meet personal workload deadlines.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.

Ability to take the initiative and follow through with minimal direction provided.

Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, etc.)

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Location and Additional Criteria:

Position is based in Fremont, California.
-
Hybrid working model working an average of 3-days or less a week in the Fremont Home Office.

Periodic Travel across North America may be required.

Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
