About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager that will work with the Stores Strategic Projects team and business partners to plan, execute, and implement projects, while also focusing on scope, timeline, budget, and stakeholder satisfaction. This individual will have a variety of responsibilities which require working effectively within a team environment, including building, and maintaining strong relationships throughout the organization.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Define objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle
- Create project planning documents specifying goals, strategy, resources, scheduling, identification of risks, and contingency plans
- Develop a business-approved requirements document with clear definition of business deliverables and success criteria
- Analyze business and functional requirements to ensure that all requirements have been discovered and addressed
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks in a comprehensive project plan
- Coordinate assignments of project personnel with cross-departmental management teams including assignment of duties, responsibilities, and timeline
- Establish and maintain effective project communication plans with project team members, business partners, management teams, and executives
- Manage and oversee multiple projects utilizing standard project management frameworks
- Identify areas for improvement in customer satisfaction and business performance and propose actionable items based on information
- Engage with stakeholders and manage internal, external, and third-party relationships
- Ensure business units receive proper training and a thorough understanding of business process changes
- Gather client, user, and consultant feedback, analyze data, and propose actionable items based on information
- Coordinate and manage all project scope change requests, ensuring proper approvals before any adjustments are made
- Attend training and educational opportunities to continue growth and advancement
- Manage the transition of project deliverables such as new applications or new functionality into a production support status
- Ensure stores, technology, and business support teams are prepared for new applications or processes
- Lead, organize, and finalize project review sessions with team members and stakeholders
- Provide regular status reports with focus on milestones, issues, accomplishments, and budget
- Project budget and scheduling estimation management
- Perform quality assurance and risk management
- Operate as the liaison between business users and the technology team
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree or certification in project management
- 5+ years of experience in a project management role
- Strong understanding of project management methodology and terminology
- Retail, supply chain, or infrastructure project management experience is strongly preferred
- Strong integration skills, with the ability to coordinate all aspects of project/program governance
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a non-technical fashion to all levels of management, and speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
- Superior listening skills with the ability to gain clarification when needed
- Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver presentations, lead, and participate in meetings
- Ability to write clearly and informatively, editing work for spelling and grammar, and varying writing style to meet business units needs
- Ability to read and interpret information clearly, and present numerical data effectively
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease, set appropriate priorities, and manage time effectively while paying strict attention to detail
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week

Position will be based in Fremont, California - Hybrid working-model up to 3-days a week at the Home Office (Fremont) and travel may be required.
