VP, Creative Marketing

We are seeking an experienced creative leader and brand storyteller as our new Vice President, Creative who is excited by the opportunity to continue our portfolio-wide transformation as we amplify our menswear categories, brands, and banners through differentiating and relevant brand strategies and creative in-store, offline, and online consumer communication. Reporting directly to the Chief Brands Officer, this role will inspire our teams as they develop creative and content that further establishes our category leadership while building strong and productive relationships with a vibrant existing and expanding customer base.

This VP position is a critical part of our Marketing leadership team and is based at our headquarters in Fremont, CA.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing Leadership:
- Works closely with CBO, CMO, and Chief Customer Officer functions to develop and implement brand, creative, and content strategies that differentiate our brands, drive consumer relevance and advance our strategic priorities
- Creates a highly motivated, collaborative and agile marketing culture
- Identifies, hires, and develops marketing and creative talent that can grow and scale with the business
Creative Leadership:
- Leads, mentors and inspires a team of talented creatives, designers and copywriters through understanding customer needs and business direction to concept, plan, and execute compelling creative in all media (video, photo, digital and more)
- Strategically pushes the creative direction of photography, video, graphic design and voice and tone to strengthen our brands as represented by customer perceptions, purchase intent, and actual purchase
- Increases brand strength and customer advocacy
Brand Positioning:
- Collaborates with key internal and external partners to articulate our overall brand positioning and strategic direction
- Identifies key market, customer and creative trends across brands and banners
- Creates distinct Brand Value Propositions across the portfolio.
- Partner with Growth Marketing and Marketing Programs to bring the brand to life with compelling content across all areas of the customer experience – in-store, web, TV, email, social media, PR and more
- Define and consistently uphold brand visual and copy standards at every customer touchpoint
Marketing Operations:
- Leads all brand agency/third party relationships in terms of evaluation, selection and ongoing management
- Drives partnerships and collaborations that further the brand objectives
- Drives high levels of operational efficiency across every aspect of marketing creative and content development operations.
Experience:
- 10-12 years of experience in customer facing and / or agency roles. Apparel and e-commerce experience a strong plus
- Proven track record in Brand and Creative Marketing Management with increasing leadership roles and responsibilities
- Led creative across a variety of marketing disciplines: television, video, social media, audio, etc.
- A creative leader comfortable with analytics, committed to delivering business goals while strengthening customer relationships and brand health
- Clear history of delivering sustained levels of marketing innovation by identifying, prioritizing and driving execution of new, profitable, growth opportunities
- Marketing experience:
- A seasoned storyteller with deep experience in bringing brands to life, reshaping and reinforcing consumer perceptions and inspiring brand love
- Strong leadership experience with proven capabilities in translating Brand Strategy into effective consumer communication

- Experience managing or working closely with Content Marketing functions
- Experience building and managing a high-performance team of +20 team members
- Proven expertise in building cross-functional relationships that drive alignment around common brand and business goals
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA or other advanced degree a plus)
