SEO Associate Manager
Join our dynamic SEO Growth Marketing team responsible for driving strategic organic growth through technical, on and off page optimization of Tailored Brands (menswearhouse.com, josbank.com, mooresclothing.ca). The SEO Associate Manager will be responsible for contributing to and delivering results against a robust strategy and roadmap to improve rankings, optimize the customer experience, improve site performance, and grow traffic and sales. This individual will partner with internal Dev teams, Merchandising, Marketing, and a third-party agency to execute, analyze and optimize strategies across platforms. This role requires technical experience, strong problem- solving skills, prioritization, and the ability to turn insights into optimizations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute a robust technical SEO roadmap that addresses complex technical SEO problems.
- Lead efforts to solve complex SEO problems, moving quickly to implement ideas and deliver results.
- Audit and analyze SEO performance across menswearhouse.com, josbank.com & mooresclothing.ca. Primary user of DeepCrawl.
- Identify issues, root-causes, and deliver requirements for solutions to improve performance at scale.
- Support major internal technical initiatives, including site migrations and new product/category launches.
- Reduce index bloat and preserve crawl budget by addressing duplication and orphaned content across our sites.
- Responsible for documenting and communicating SEO channel performance to engineering, product, merchandising and leadership teams in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
- Working closely with site, product, technology and business intelligence teams to make sure the infrastructure, architecture, and site features support and enhance the effectiveness of our SEO.
- Contributing to company-wide knowledge sharing and engaging with stakeholders to determine optimal SEO improvements globally.
The Right Candidate Has/is
- Deep, hands-on experience implementing successful technical SEO strategies on large enterprise, ecommerce websites, including experience with site and stack migrations
- Proficient in Google Analytics, GSC, DeepCrawl and SEO Clarity or related keyword tracking tools.
- Proven ability to drive buy-in with stakeholders for recommendations through sharing SEO best practices and supporting with quantifiable data
- A self-starter who proactively and effectively communicates SEO needs, concerns, and performance insights to achieve goals
- Qualified to develop and manage a rolling technical roadmap and deliverables for all JWN web properties.
- The skillset to identify and troubleshoot page rendering and site speed issues and provide technical requirements to implement necessary recommendations
- Solid analytical capabilities, including both eCommerce and Organic Search KPIs – ability to pull, interpret and analyze data independently
- Up to speed on industry news, most critical to this time frame, including MFI and CWV (Core Web Vitals) Google Updates
Minimum Requirements
- You have 2+ years technical SEO experience with a large ecommerce websites.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JS, schema.org and other coding languages as they relate to SEO
- You are proficient in using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb and Log Analysis tools
- You are a strong collaborator, capable of working with multiple stakeholders across teams to educate, influence, and execute
- You enjoy the continual challenge of problem solving, innovating and measuring the impact of your projects and initiatives
- Can demonstrate success in technical SEO and has experience working with complex e-commerce sites.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with efficiency and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Can work cross-functionally and manage leadership expectations
Preferred
- Experience optimizing faceted and filter navigation on large ecommerce websites
- In house SEO experience – depth of knowledge on owned websites
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization
- Experience building custom reporting in Tableau and/or Data Studio
- Experience in International Search Engine Optimization
- Experience in Local Search Optimization
