K&G Fashion Superstores is looking for a proficient Art Director skilled in digital, video and print. As our ideal candidate, you will manage day-to-day operations and support the development of a small team that reports directly to the Creative Lead. You will help to evolve the brand through omnichannel creative with quarterly seasonal guidance and product photography. You must be innovative, maintain a solution-first attitude, detail oriented and articulate.

As the Art Director, you will report directly to the Brand Creative Lead and work closely with copywriters, project and brand managers, producers and external and internal partners.

Function:

This position is a part of the Marketing department and supports one of the company’s four main brands. It is very hands on, collaborative and action oriented with mentoring opportunities. In this role, the Art Director is responsible for helping transform the brand vision into various medias through collaboration and versioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide art direction for creative executions across a range of media, including digital and print as well as be able to execute and complete projects independently
  • Establish that all creative deliverables are aligned to our brand strategy
  • Contribute to the creative process in meetings and presentations with internal teams
  • Partner with Creative team and business partners to ensure on-time and on-brief execution and delivery
  • Ensure that quality is never compromised even while under pressure and while delivering multiple projects
  • Uphold a holistic view of the brand and internal and external competition
  • Maintain an intimate understanding of the customer and their journey throughout every touch point to create impact and build loyalty
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices 
  • Be proactive: Address challenges, support process and make recommendations for improvement
  • Support photo shoots and post productions

Essential Qualification:

  • BFA or related degree in design preferred
  • 4 to 6 years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment for digital/responsive design and print.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the business
  • Proficient in Adobe CC: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premier; Microsoft Office, Sketch and Capture 21
  • Effectively manage various projects and collaborate cross-functionally with multiple personalities
  • Understand contemporary graphic design, layout, color and typography
  • Expertise in color management and image mark up
  • Support process, proactively identifying challenges and fostering actionable solutions
  • Commitment to production schedules, deadlines and seeing projects all the way through to completion
  • Resourceful and self-motivated
  • Ability to work with third-party vendors on pre-press production, proof checks and final press production

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Worked on premium brands
  • Worked in men’s fashion
  • Specific technology, video or motion expertise

LOCATION

Availability to work in Fremont is preferred.
